We believe that a bike related business should be fully environmentally conscious — and this means sticking to a few strong values:
We will travel without the use of fossil fuels between mobile jobs and shop errands (check out our “cargo van” below!)
We will recycle all scrap materials, and use upcycled materials whenever possible
We will encourage and attempt repairing rather than replacing parts, whenever possible and financially sensible (upon customer approval)
We will always donate at least 5% of profits to local social and environmental nonprofits

We have a brick & mortar bike shop now, but for our first 4 years, our workshop was primarily mobile - powered by bike!
Our cargo van is a Yuba Spicy Curry cargo bicycle, sporting a Bosch Cargo-Line pedal assist mid drive motor and 440-lb weight capacity. The electric battery is charged by home solar panels. And many burritos. It doesn’t burn dead dinosaurs, doesn’t require scarce parking space, can fit (tight) in an elevator, and travel up to 50 miles on a single charge. We also love using local bike lanes and trails instead of sitting in traffic.
We still put the miles on - for package pickups, special events, and off-site projects across DC. As of 2026, our odometer read 11,000 work miles.
